Ready, Steady, Sport! – Travelling Exhibition in Debrecen

The travelling photo exhibition “Vigyázz, kész, SPORT!” arrived this Tuesday to the Méliusz Benedek Elek Könyvtár. The exhibition was opened by photographer Péter Molnár and the presenter of the Alliance-Française de Debrecen. Every year the fondation Alliance Française is organizing an international photography competition within the Alliances françaises network. In 2016 France was the host of the Europa League, so it seemed obvious to draw parallels between sport and culture and so the topic of 2016’s photo competition was found. From candidates from 130 Alliance Francaise’s, located in 50 different countries, 44 pictures were selected, which are dealing in creative, critical or interesting ways with the topic of sport. The exhibited pictures show not only different sports in different countries and cultures, but also the hard work and passion, which were needed to capture these special moments.
