ReLit Training Course on Religious Literacy in Youth Work
|Our Experience in Veli Iž, Croatia
Between 21-27 May 2023 four of us had the chance to participate in the Erasmus+ training course ReLit on religious literacy in youth work, held in Veli Iž, Croatia. Together with participants from Belgium, Croatia, Italy and Slovakia we discovered various aspects of religious literacy and interreligious dialogue, while also gaining knowledge of five world religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism. Besides, we could experience new methods of non-formal education and gain practical skills for involving religious literacy in youth work in the future. We also had the opportunity to learn about good practices present at partner organisations regarding the topic, share thoughts and ideas, discover culture and nature in Veli Iž and of participating countries in the frames of an intercultural evening.
We thank Udruga Prizma (Croatia) for organising this inspiring training course.
Centar za međureligijski dijalog (Croatia), EduEra (Slovakia), Ottovolante (Italy), Roots (Belgium) and Udruga ISKRA (Croatia) for their contributions to the project, and Hang-Kép Kulturális Egyesület (Hungary) for making our participation possible.
The project has been supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. You can dowload the leaflet of the project here: ReLit – Digital leaflet.
